Our Vision

Our vision is to establish a spiritual community of loving, compassionate leaders who are examples of healthy, abundant, conscious, peaceful and joy-filled living.
Five Basic Beliefs
1) God is good and everywhere present
2) The spirit of God lives within each and every person.
3) We create our life experiences through our way of thinking.
4) There is a power in affirmative prayer which we believe increases our connection to God
5) Knowledge of these principles is not enough. We must live them.

Quote of the Week
We’re so busy watching out for what’s ahead of us that we don’t take the time to enjoy where we are.

In the Moment
This Thursday is Thanksgiving Day in the United States. Many people been rushing around all week buying things to prepare for the holiday. I went to Costco to do my weekly shopping and it was a little crazy in the store.
I realized that most of those people were so agitated planning for Thanksgiving that the actual holiday would actually be anticlimactic.
It made me think about how many times in the past that I was caught up in the same frenzy. That is until I realized that there was a calmer and better way. Now I make a list, take a deep breathe and relax. I actually take the time to enjoy shopping and calmly begin preparing the food and decorations, etc. for whatever Holiday that I plan to celebrate.
I put on Holiday music and sip some warm apple cider as I begin cooking or decorating. I actually relax and enjoy each activity. I now have an attitude that whatever gets done is fine and what doesn’t get done is fine too.
I have extended this attitude toward various other aspects of my life. I now know that worrying about any situation only frays my nerves without improving the situation one bit. I do my best to improve the situation. If I can’t improve it, I simply move on to where I can make a difference instead.
Being in the moment allows me to be fully conscious of what is happening. It also opens an avenue of active listening to understand the people around me. A calm attitude is contagious and much appreciated.
Even the simple act of eating becomes an amazing experience. By not shoving food into my mouth while I listen to conversations and look for spaces to reply or blindly watching TV, I can now savor each individual component of my meal. It is incredible how good my food tastes when I am enjoying each bite.
I really get the most of this limited physical life when I stay In the Moment.
Peace & Richest Blessings Always,
